Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. will launch Norwegian Aura, its largest ship and newest Prima Plus Class vessel, in late 2026. The ship will introduce several innovative amenities aimed at enhancing guest wellbeing and dining options.

Expanded Thermal Suite and Spa Facilities

Norwegian Aura will feature the industry’s most extensive Thermal Suite, spanning two decks within the Mandara Spa designed by the Rockwell Group. This suite includes 15 wellness amenities, 11 of which are new, centered on contrast therapy principles to promote relaxation, recovery, and rejuvenation. Key experiences include a Sensory Rain Pool that simulates tropical rain and thunderstorms, a Blue Glow Suite with calming blue

light, a Foot Spa, Waterfall Experience, Snow Cave, Reflection Pool, and guided hot and cold plunge sessions.

The Mandara Spa houses 24 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, Skin Lab, expanded medi-spa services including IV therapy and NAD+ injections, acupuncture, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with dedicated training studios.

New Dining Venues and Enhancements

Norwegian Aura debuts Tamara, NCL’s first specialty Indian restaurant, located on Deck 8. Inspired by North Indian temple architecture, Tamara will serve authentic regional dishes like Short-Rib Dosa, Lamb Biryani, and Green Papaya Salad prepared tableside. The restaurant aims to elevate the Indian cuisine previously introduced in NCL’s Indulge Food Hall.

The

ship also introduces The Panorama Room on Deck 6, a reimagined complimentary dining venue featuring expansive LED displays, synchronized lighting, and multi-channel audio that create dynamic visuals throughout the day. Hudson’s main dining room, renowned for its 270-degree ocean views, will receive an updated design. Other refreshed restaurants include Le Bistro, Sukhothai, Palomar, Onda by Scarpetta, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Hasuki, and Nama, all with new aesthetics and expanded seating capacities. The Surfside Café expands to cover both sides of the ship, and Indulge Food Hall returns with nine global food stations, adding a new Middle Eastern option alongside Mexican favorites and

returning stations like Q Texas Smokehouse.

Public Spaces and Lounge Redesigns

The Haven luxury complex features redesigned private bar, lounge, restaurant, and outdoor deck areas created by Studio DADO. These spaces incorporate natural earth tones and lush canopy designs to provide a tranquil atmosphere exclusive to luxury guests. Throughout Norwegian Aura, bars and lounges, including Penrose Bar & Atrium, Metropolitan Bar, Swirl Wine Bar, Belvedere Bar, Whiskey Bar, and Daybreak Bar, have been refreshed with expanded layouts and modernized interiors to enhance guest comfort and socializing.

Family Activity Hub and Initial Itineraries

Norwegian Aura introduces Ocean Heights, a family activity zone with six slides, an 82-foot ropes course, a multi-level obstacle

course, Moon Climber, carnival-style games at Aura Midway, a nine-hole mini golf course, overhanging cabanas, and a dedicated bar for adults. The area is designed to offer entertainment for all ages in a spacious environment.

Norwegian Aura’s inaugural voyage is set for May 21, 2027, departing from Trieste, Italy, on a seven-day Mediterranean itinerary ending in Barcelona, Spain. This will be followed by a 13-day transatlantic crossing to Miami, Florida. In summer 2027 and 2028, the ship will operate seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises calling on destinations such as Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and St. Thomas in the U.S.

Virgin Islands.

Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, said, “Norwegian Aura is all about giving guests more of what they love, with spaces and experiences that make vacation feel even easier.”
