Allegiant Airlines has announced the introduction of nine new routes starting in early 2027, primarily consisting of hyper-seasonal flights linking northern U.S. cities with warm-weather destinations. The majority of these routes cater to the peak spring break travel period, aiming to boost connectivity for leisure travelers.
Start Dates and Route Details
Among the new flights, only the Cincinnati, Ohio to Orlando, Florida route will operate year-round, commencing February 12, 2027. Seasonal service between Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Sanford, Florida is scheduled to run from February 10 through April 17, 2027. Additionally, seven other routes categorized as hyper-seasonal will connect various locations in the New
England region to Florida, focusing on accommodating spring travel demand.
Business Model and Strategy
Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, explained that the new routes reflect the flexibility within Allegiant’s business model to respond dynamically to travel demand during peak leisure periods. The airline views this expansion as part of its ongoing effort to provide travelers with more options to reach popular vacation destinations.
Wells stated, “We’re excited to announce these new routes into our growing network and will continue to look for opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they want to visit most. These new routes reflect the flexibility of our unique
business model, allowing us to respond to demand and provide more options during peak leisure periods.”
Travelers will gain access to additional nonstop flights within the U.S. starting in 2027, with a particular focus on servicing markets during spring break when demand for travel to warm destinations increases.
