Allegiant Air is set to introduce nine new routes in early 2027. Most are hyper-seasonal flights targeting northern U.S. markets with connections to warm destinations, particularly in Florida, timed for the spring break travel season. The only new year-round route announced is between Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and Orlando, Florida, beginning service on February 12, 2027. Seasonal flights will operate between Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Sanford, Florida, spanning from February 10 to April 17, 2027.
Route Strategy and Network Growth
Allegiant Air’s new routes highlight its business model focused on leisure travel demand during peak periods. Drew Wells, Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the
airline’s responsiveness to traveler demand by stating, “We’re excited to announce these new routes into our growing network and will continue to look for opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they want to visit most.” Wells added that the flexibility of Allegiant’s model enables the carrier to provide additional options during peak leisure times. Following the addition of the CVG-Orlando nonstop, Kenton County Airport Board Chair Chad Summe noted the CVG network will consist of 23 nonstop destinations.
