The 20th edition of the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2026) is scheduled from August 27 to 29, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is set to be the largest iteration since the event began in 2005, establishing itself as Vietnam’s largest international travel expo.
Expo Scale Grows with Over 520 Exhibitors and 21,000 B2B Appointments
ITE HCMC 2026 will feature more than 520 exhibitors and 260 international buyers representing Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Oceania. The event’s hosted buyers programme, unique in Vietnam, supports a dramatic increase in pre-arranged business-to-business appointments, with 21,000 scheduled for the event. Buyers-Sellers Speed Dating will
commence on August 26, ahead of the official opening, followed by dedicated business matching on August 27 and 28.
Organisers and Venue Details for ITE HCMC 2026
The expo will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. It is organised under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Joint organisers include the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, with support from the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center and C.I.S Vietnam Advertising & Exhibition Joint Stock Company.
Mekong Subregional Ministers and Global Tourism Leaders to Convene
Simultaneously with
the expo, Ho Chi Minh City will host three Tourism Ministers’ Meetings for Mekong subregional co-operation frameworks. The event will also include forums involving major global tourism organisations such as the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and corporations including Google, Mastercard, EuroCham, and Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO). The Tourism Forum on August 27 will focus on ‘Shaping the Future of MICE Tourism’ with emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and global connectivity.
Public Programs Feature Culture and Interactive Experiences
Alongside the B2B activities, the event offers public-facing programs with artistic performances, cultural exchanges, culinary experiences, and interactive activities
designed to engage consumers directly. Pre- and post-expo tours are arranged specifically for international buyers and media participants.
Pham Huy Binh, director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, noted that the 20th anniversary edition represents the expo’s growth in scale, quality, and reputation. He highlighted the significance of hosting the Mekong subregional Tourism Ministers’ Meetings concurrently and addressing emerging tourism trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), destination brand management, medical tourism, and tourism technology start-ups during the thematic forums.
