On August 13, 2026, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. announced that Atlantic Suites Hotel has become Hyatt’s first affiliated hotel in Guyana. The existing property in Georgetown will integrate a new adjoining tower in a $50 million project, creating Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana by 2028.
Atlantic Suites Hotel Location and Features
Atlantic Suites Hotel is located in Georgetown, the capital and commercial hub of Guyana, approximately six miles from Eugene F. Correia International Airport. It currently offers 80 guestrooms and suites with views of either the Atlantic Ocean or the city skyline, and includes a 24-hour fitness center. The hotel caters to
business and extended-stay travelers, positioned near government offices and the city’s growing business district.
$50 Million Development and Expansion Plans
RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. is developing a new tower adjacent to the Atlantic Suites Hotel. Upon completion in 2028, the tower will connect to the existing building by a pedestrian bridge, combining the two into Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana. The expanded property will feature a total of 240 guestrooms and suites, alongside a signature restaurant and market, lobby and rooftop bar, plus enhanced meeting and event spaces.
Amenities Linked to Pegasus Properties
Guests at Atlantic Suites Hotel currently have access to facilities at the nearby Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate
Business Center, both owned by RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. The corporate center provides approximately 36,000 square feet of meeting and event space, six dining venues including the Aura Sky Lounge with panoramic city views, and an outdoor pool.
Hyatt’s Strategic Growth and Loyalty Program
This hotel affiliation furthers Hyatt’s growth strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean, targeting emerging markets. Additionally, Hyatt Place Georgetown Guyana, featuring 136 guestrooms and a rooftop bar, is expected to join Hyatt’s portfolio later in 2026. After its rebranding as Hyatt Regency in 2028, Atlantic Suites Hotel will enroll in the World of Hyatt loyalty program, allowing members to earn
and redeem points for accommodations and other experiences.
