Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. announced on August 13, 2026, that Atlantic Suites Hotel in Georgetown, Guyana, has joined the Hyatt portfolio as an affiliated hotel. This is Hyatt’s first property affiliation in Guyana, marking an entry into the country’s rapidly growing hospitality market.

Atlantic Suites Hotel Current Operations and Location

Atlantic Suites Hotel, owned by RJR Investments & Holdings Inc., offers 80 guestrooms and suites designed for business and extended-stay travelers. The hotel is located in Georgetown, the capital and commercial hub of Guyana, about six miles from Eugene F. Correia International Airport. Guests at Atlantic Suites have access to the amenities

of the adjacent Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate Business Center, also owned by RJR Investments & Holdings Inc., featuring approximately 36,000 square feet of meeting space and six dining venues. Atlantic Suites also offers a 24-hour fitness center.

$50 Million Development to Hyatt Regency Georgetown

RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. plans a roughly $50 million development to construct a new tower adjacent to the existing Atlantic Suites Hotel. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the new tower will connect to the original building via a pedestrian bridge, creating the Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana. The expanded hotel will offer a total of 240 guestrooms and suites. Amenities will include

a signature restaurant and market, a lobby and rooftop bar, and meeting and event spaces, targeting business and leisure travelers with access to key government offices and the business district.

Executive Statements on Market Opportunity

Cristiano Gonçalves, Hyatt’s Vice President of Development for South America and the Caribbean, called the entry into Guyana a key milestone for Hyatt’s growth in the region. He said, “This debut in Guyana represents an exciting milestone in our strategic growth across the Latin America and the Caribbean.” Robert Badal, CEO of RJR Investments & Holdings Inc., stated, “Guyana is experiencing an extraordinary period of growth and international interest, making

this the ideal time to introduce the Hyatt brand to the country.” Badal emphasized continuing the legacy of hospitality and showcasing Guyana’s culture.

Hyatt’s Regional Expansion and Additional Properties

This affiliation supports Hyatt’s strategy to expand brand presence in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially in emerging markets where Hyatt had no prior footprint. Later in 2026, Hyatt Place Georgetown Guyana is expected to join Hyatt’s portfolio with 136 guestrooms. Hyatt’s global portfolio includes more than 1,500 hotels across 83 countries as of June 30, 2026.

Loyalty Integration and Traveler Benefits

Following the 2028 transition into Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana, the property will join the World of Hyatt loyalty program. Guests

will be able to earn and redeem loyalty points on accommodations, dining, and wellbeing experiences at the new Hyatt Regency. Atlantic Suites Hotel guests currently have access to Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate Business Center’s meeting and dining facilities.
