Bangkok will host the World Travel & Culture Expo (WTCE) from October 29 to 31, 2026, at IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani. The event is organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT), and Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group.
Objectives to Boost Tourism, Trade, and ASEAN Position
The expo aims to enhance tourism, trade, and investment opportunities in Thailand. It seeks to strengthen Thailand’s role as a central tourism and entertainment hub within the ASEAN region, drawing industry participants and investors to engage in new market opportunities.
Link to Thailand-China Relations and Market Significance
WTCE 2026 coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. With China
as Thailand’s largest international tourism market, the expo aligns with Beijing’s expansion policies and supports deeper economic and cultural ties. Thailand expects over 5.13 million Chinese visitors in 2026, making the event a strategic platform to expand business and tourism partnerships.
Expo Features and Previous Edition Success
Specialized exhibitions at the expo will cover sectors including amusement parks, billiards, and film technology. A panel titled “Future Trends of Tourism” will focus on tourism sustainability, safety, and immersive technology innovations. The prior WTCE edition in 2025 successfully connected global brands and facilitated significant business negotiations, setting a foundation for the upcoming event.
Government officials, including TAT Governor
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool and Mr. Pasakorn Rangsiwatanasak, took part in the WTCE 2026 event launch. Ms. Kiatphaibool outlined the expo’s goal to promote sustainable tourism focusing on quality experiences and strategic partnerships that will foster long-term growth in the sector.
