Average spending per visitor reached £789. Visitor satisfaction rates climbed from 98.7% in 2024 to 99.2% in 2026. Tourism’s overall contribution to the Isle of Man economy grew by 138% over the past decade, exceeding initial long-term strategy projections.

John Keggin, Commercial Director at Island Escapes, attributed sustained growth to strong visitor loyalty. “Once you get the visitor
hooked on coming to the Island, they stay very loyal and tend to return year on year,” he said. Keggin emphasized visitors appreciate the Island’s natural environment, outdoor activities, and compact size that allows holidays without extensive travel within the Island.
Keggin also noted ongoing challenges related to the cost of travel and accessibility, stating, “Although this report is really positive, we can’t forget that some of the biggest challenges are still getting people to the Island and the huge cost of travel to get here.” Key attractions driving the sector’s growth include heritage railways, walking trails, boat excursions, and
the local food and drink scene.
