Southwest Airlines announced it will start nonstop flights between Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (AMA) and William P. Hobby Airport in Houston on March 11, 2027. The new service will operate four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flights between Amarillo and Houston Hobby will provide passengers with more direct travel options within Texas. Alongside this expansion, Southwest Airlines continues to operate nonstop flights from Amarillo to Dallas Love Field, Las Vegas, and Austin. The addition of Houston connects Amarillo travelers to Southwest’s growing eastern U.S. network, offering faster access to destinations in the Caribbean and Latin
