BWH Hotels GB has expanded its portfolio over the past twelve months by adding six independent hotels, contributing nearly 300 new bedrooms to its network across Great Britain. This growth reinforces the group’s presence in both leisure and business travel destinations and supports regional tourism economies.

New Hotels Added in Strategic UK Locations

The latest additions include Forest Lodge Hotel, part of the BW Signature Collection by Best Western, located in Lyndhurst within New Forest National Park. The expansion also incorporates Best Western Chiswick Rooms in West London, near key transport links, and Sure Hotel Newark in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire. Collectively, these three properties provide approximately 100 bedrooms

to the BWH Hotels GB portfolio.

Flexible Affiliation Model Benefits Independent Hotels

Independent hotel owners increasingly choose BWH Hotels GB’s flexible affiliation model to combine local identity with access to global marketing and distribution channels. This approach allows hotels to retain operational independence and unique guest experiences while benefiting from international reservation systems, revenue management, and marketing support without adopting rigid franchise models.

Investment in West London Property Enhances Corporate Appeal

Best Western Chiswick Rooms underwent a refurbishment project valued at around £500,000 to modernize guest accommodations and improve services. Situated close to major transport routes, the hotel offers access to Central London in roughly 25 minutes and Heathrow Airport in about 20 minutes,

making it well-suited for business travelers and international visitors.

Regional Tourism Appeal in New Forest and Newark

Forest Lodge Hotel provides accommodation that caters to growing nature-based tourism in New Forest National Park, attracting visitors interested in sustainable holidays and countryside activities. Sure Hotel Newark’s 30 bedrooms offer convenient lodging near Newark Castle and the market square, targeting leisure and business travelers drawn to heritage tourism and the town’s accessible location within Nottinghamshire.

The Royal Maritime Hotel, another property within BWH Hotels GB, generated nearly £50,000 in new business during its first month after joining the group, exemplifying the commercial benefits of these partnerships for independent hotels.

Loyalty Program and Commercial Support

Hotels

affiliated with BWH Hotels GB participate in the Best Western Rewards program, which boasts over 60 million members worldwide. This extensive loyalty network expands hotels’ visibility and guest acquisition potential. Alongside loyalty benefits, properties gain international booking platform access, marketing initiatives, and revenue management expertise aimed at enhancing occupancy and competitiveness.

Market Dynamics Driving Expansion

The UK hospitality industry faces challenges including rising operational costs, evolving traveler expectations, and intense competition for bookings. These factors have prompted independent hotels to adopt flexible partnerships that deliver enhanced commercial performance while preserving their distinctive identities. Growth in domestic and international tourism across Great Britain, especially in

regions like New Forest and historic towns such as Newark-on-Trent, sustains demand for diverse accommodation options.

Outlook for Further Growth

BWH Hotels GB has multiple hotel affiliations nearing completion for 2026, indicating continued portfolio expansion. This pipeline shows persisting confidence in flexible affiliation models as independent hotels seek sustainable growth amid economic pressures and changing market dynamics.
