Frontier Airlines announced on July 14, 2026, the launch of four new flight routes starting later in 2026, expanding its network in the United States and Caribbean. The new routes will connect major airports including Denver International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan.
Ticket Sales and Travel Restrictions
Tickets for the new routes are on sale starting at $69, with purchase required by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on July 20, 2026. Sale fares apply to nonstop travel on selected days through January 4, 2027. Travel blackout
dates include November 20-25 and 27-30, December 23-24, 26-27, and 30-31 in 2026, and January 2-3, 2027. A 21-day advance purchase is mandatory, and round trip tickets are not required. Not all routes are available on all travel dates.
New Seating Options and Loyalty Benefits
As part of its service enhancements branded “The New Frontier,” Frontier Airlines will introduce First Class seating in 2026. Additionally, it offers UpFront Plus seating located in the first two rows, featuring extra legroom and a guaranteed empty middle seat. Frontier’s loyalty program, Frontier Miles, allows members to earn miles based on dollars spent with multipliers ranging from 10X to 20X
at elite levels. Elite status is attainable at 10,000 points and provides benefits such as priority boarding, seat selection, free bags, and family mile pooling. Unlimited companion travel is now available for the airline’s top customers.
