ITB Berlin 2027 has introduced a new campaign titled “Travel & Tourism in Motion,” aiming to reflect key developments shaping global tourism such as evolving travel habits, innovative mobility, and changing technological, economic, and social conditions. The campaign was developed jointly with Rupp, an international public relations and communications agency, and positions the tourism sector as an industry in continuous motion.
At ITB Berlin 2026, held from 3 to 5 March in Berlin, the organizers unveiled a new key visual for the campaign, created using actual participants including exhibitors and visitors. This visual represents a broad cross-section of the international
tourism community and emphasizes the event’s role as a place for global dialogue and exchange. Furthermore, each exhibition segment at ITB Berlin will feature its own tailored key visual with the addition of the tagline “in Motion.”
Companies and destinations interested in participating at ITB Berlin 2027 can register now. Early bird registration offers stand locations in prime positions on the exhibition grounds along with favorable terms to encourage participation ahead of the event.
ITB Berlin 2027, taking place from 16 to 18 March 2027 in Berlin, has adjusted its usual schedule to accommodate intercultural aspects. The date change enables
Muslim exhibitors and visitors to celebrate Eid al-Fitr at the conclusion of Ramadan before attending the trade show fully. This scheduling decision highlights ITB Berlin’s commitment to diversity and inclusion within the global travel industry.
Since its inception in 1966, ITB Berlin has established itself as the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. The 2026 edition celebrated its 60th anniversary with 5,601 exhibitors representing 166 countries and territories, drawing 96,544 visitors. The ITB Berlin Convention at the same event gathered 400 top industry speakers across 17 thematic tracks on four stages, attracting over 24,000 attendees. These figures underscore the event’s significance
as a platform where shifts in markets, business models, and technologies are addressed.
Deborah Rothe, Director of ITB Berlin, emphasized the importance of tourism as a driver of economic growth, innovation, and international cooperation. According to the www.itb.com briefing, she described tourism as an industry continuously evolving and highlighted ITB Berlin’s role as a forum where key players meet to explore new ideas, analyse trends and shape the future direction of travel.
