A comprehensive nonstop flight guide for 2026 from Columbus airports was published and updated on July 9, 2026. The guide uses official nonstop route data from the Columbus Regional Airport Authority and verifies flight announcements directly from the airlines.
Flight Announcements and Returning Airlines
Between January and June 2026, twelve new nonstop routes were announced for Columbus flights. JetBlue is set to return to John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) with nonstop service starting November 3, 2026. Additionally, nonstop flights to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are scheduled to begin in early 2027, expanding international leisure options.
Current Nonstop Destinations and Airline Operations
As of July 2026, nonstop flights from
Columbus serve 57 airports operated by 10 different airlines. JetBlue’s return will make it the 11th airline serving nonstop routes from Columbus. Most nonstop services operate from John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), while Allegiant Airlines operates nine nonstop leisure routes exclusively out of Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) on the city’s south side.
Detailed New and Seasonal Routes
JetBlue will resume nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale from CMH starting November 3, 2026. Breeze Airways is launching seasonal nonstop service from CMH to Punta Cana beginning January 8, 2027, with flights on Mondays and Fridays through March 22, 2027. Southwest Airlines will operate seasonal nonstop flights
from CMH to San Juan beginning February 13, 2027, running on Saturdays. Both seasonal services cater to winter travel demands, with San Juan not requiring a passport as a U.S. territory.
Leisure Destinations and Airport Differences
Florida accounts for 14 of the nonstop destinations served from Columbus airports, including Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Key West, Miami, Orlando (both airports), Palm Beach, Panama City Beach, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Tampa, and St. Pete-Clearwater. Beyond Florida, leisure routes from Columbus include Myrtle Beach and Cancun, with the latter requiring a passport. Allegiant’s nine nonstop routes out of Rickenbacker include Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Myrtle Beach,
Orlando/Sanford, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Savannah, and St. Pete-Clearwater. Given Rickenbacker’s primary role as a cargo airport with limited passenger facilities, travelers booking Allegiant flights must confirm their departure airport carefully.
Airline Market Presence and Seasonal Route Availability
Currently, the airlines operating nonstop flights from Columbus are American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Breeze Airways, Frontier Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and Allegiant. JetBlue will join as the eleventh carrier in November 2026. Southwest Airlines is the largest nonstop carrier operating from John Glenn. Seasonal nonstop routes have variable booking windows typically opening six to nine months ahead, which affects their visibility in
flight search tools during off seasons.
Transatlantic nonstop flights have not yet been established from Columbus, with the longest nonstop routes currently serving West Coast U.S. destinations. Only Canadian cities Toronto and Montreal, along with Cancun and Punta Cana (from 2027), represent the international nonstop destinations.
Passengers are advised to consult live airline and airport sources, such as the Columbus Regional Airport Authority’s official tools, for up-to-date route information and security wait times at John Glenn Columbus International Airport before traveling.
