The Columbus Regional Airport Authority released an updated list of nonstop flights from Columbus airports as of July 9, 2026, showing service to 57 destinations via 10 airlines. This information is sourced from the Authority’s official nonstop chart and verified with airline announcements to maintain accuracy throughout the year.
Airports and Airlines Operating Nonstop Service
The majority of nonstop flights operate from John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), while Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), located on the south side, primarily supports cargo operations but also provides passenger service on nine Allegiant Air leisure routes. Allegiant exclusively uses Rickenbacker for its flights to destinations including Destin, Fort Lauderdale,
Key West, Myrtle Beach, Orlando Sanford, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Savannah, and St. Pete-Clearwater. Passengers booking Allegiant flights should verify that their departure airport is Rickenbacker, not John Glenn.
New and Upcoming Routes in 2026 and 2027
JetBlue returns to Columbus Airport on November 3, 2026, resuming service with a nonstop flight to Fort Lauderdale, joining Southwest, Allegiant, and Frontier in offering flights to that Florida city. Two new nonstop Caribbean routes are scheduled to begin in early 2027: Breeze Airways will launch seasonal service to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic starting January 8, running Mondays and Fridays through March 22, while Southwest Airlines will introduce seasonal nonstop
flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, beginning February 13 and operating on Saturdays.
Destinations and Seasonal Flight Operations
Of the 57 nonstop destinations served from Columbus, 14 are airports in Florida. These include Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Key West, Miami, Palm Beach, Panama City Beach, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Tampa, St. Pete-Clearwater, and both Orlando airports. Seasonal routes are clearly marked as such because their operational periods and booking windows vary; flights outside booking windows may not appear in search engines but remain scheduled for upcoming seasons. Notably, travel to Puerto Rico on Southwest’s San Juan route does not require a passport, as it
is a U.S. territory. Other international nonstop destinations from Columbus currently include Toronto and Montreal in Canada, and Cancun, Mexico, served seasonally by American and Southwest. Punta Cana will join as an international nonstop destination starting in January 2027.
Airline Presence and Flight Scheduling
Currently, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Breeze Airways, Frontier Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and Allegiant Air operate nonstop flights from Columbus. JetBlue will become the 11th airline when it resumes flights in November 2026. Southwest remains the largest carrier at John Glenn Columbus International Airport. Seasonal routes, defined by part-year operation, are subject
to fluctuating booking windows typically extending six to nine months. Airlines only sell tickets within these booking periods, so seasonal flights not yet bookable will not appear in search results.
Transatlantic Flights and Traveler Information
As of mid-2026, Columbus airports do not offer nonstop transatlantic service. The longest nonstop flights currently connect Columbus with West Coast destinations in the U.S., and international flights are limited to North American and Caribbean locations. The Columbus Regional Airport Authority will publish any transatlantic route announcements immediately upon occurrence. Travelers using Allegiant flights should confirm that their ticket lists Rickenbacker International Airport as the departure point to avoid arriving
at John Glenn Airport. The detailed nonstop flight guide enables efficient trip planning by providing a complete overview of all nonstop options available from Columbus for 2026 and early 2027.
