Extensive Flight Disruptions Across Europe on July 6, 2026
On July 6, 2026, European air travel experienced significant disruptions with over 400 flights cancelled and upwards of 2,550 flights delayed. These interruptions impacted several countries including Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, and Switzerland.
Major airlines such as Air France, ITA Airways, and Wizz Air Malta were among those affected, with grounding occurring at key airport hubs in Milan, Rome, Barcelona, and Lisbon. Passengers at these airports faced cancellations and lengthy delays as operations were disrupted.
