On July 4, 2026, a significant number of flights faced disruption across major U.S. airports, with 169 cancellations recorded nationwide. In addition, approximately 2,952 flights were delayed throughout the country on the same day.

The disruptions affected several prominent airlines such as American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Envoy Air, and SkyWest Airlines.
