On June 18, 2026, Atlanta International Airport experienced significant operational disruptions with more than 180 flights delayed and 13 flights cancelled. These delays and cancellations have affected numerous routes and caused extensive challenges for airport operations and travelers.

Among the carriers impacted are Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines. The cancelled flights disrupted planned services to various destinations including Chicago, Las Vegas, Punta Cana, Cancún, and Incheon, among others.

Passengers at Atlanta International Airport encountered extended wait times as a result of these disruptions. Some travelers were unable to board their scheduled flights due to the delays and cancellations, contributing

to stranded passengers and logistical difficulties throughout the day.
