On June 16, 2026, several major airports across the United States encountered significant disruptions with a total of 458 flights cancelled and 885 additional schedule interruptions recorded. This has created considerable operational challenges at key hubs nationwide.

Airports affected include Atlanta, New York City’s airports, Boston, Newark, and Los Angeles. These centers saw widespread impact as flights were abruptly cancelled or delayed, severely affecting ground operations and flight schedules through these locations.

Thousands of passengers faced the consequences with missed connections and extended overnight delays. Many experienced lengthy and complex rebooking efforts, complicating travel plans and extending time spent at

airports.

Travelers scheduled through these airports are advised to check their flight status and prepare for potential further adjustments throughout the day.
