On June 15, 2026, Chicago’s main airports encountered substantial flight disruptions with more than 340 delays and 20 cancellations. Several airlines, including American Airlines, SkyWest, and United Airlines, were affected by these operational interruptions.
These delays and cancellations impacted flights on domestic and international routes connecting Chicago to destinations in Canada, Mexico, as well as major European countries such as the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Hundreds of travelers faced extended waiting times and adjustments to their travel plans as a result of these disturbances.
