The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has projected that the tourism sector in Central and South America will experience growth exceeding four percent in 2026. This anticipated increase in tourism GDP is expected to outpace the overall global growth rate in travel and tourism for that year.
Several countries within the region, including Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala, Panama, and Ecuador, are cited as major contributors to this positive trend. The growth is driven in part by robust visitor spending across these markets.
