The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has projected that the tourism sector in Central and South America will achieve a growth rate of around 4.1% in terms of tourism GDP for the year 2026. This forecast indicates a notable expansion within the region’s travel and tourism economy.
According to WTTC’s projections, this growth is anticipated to exceed the average global growth expected for the travel industry in 2026. Key contributors to this positive outlook include heightened domestic tourism demand and increased spending across the sector throughout the region.
