The US Embassy has revised its travel advisory for Mexico by including Mexico City among the destinations where heightened vigilance is recommended. This development expands the list of cities where travelers should exercise increased caution.
Expanded List of Cities Under Caution
Along with Mexico City, the advisory now encompasses several other Mexican cities, including Monterrey, Cancún, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Oaxaca, Guadalajara, and Puerto Vallarta. The embassy’s updated cautionary notice urges American tourists visiting these locations to remain alert and adhere to recommended safety practices.
