As of mid-July 2026, the basic fare for Southwest’s inaugural nonstop flights is priced at $573.80, compared to $458.41 for one-stop itineraries with the same origin and destination. These weekend-only flights will provide faster travel between East Tennessee and Nevada, improving convenience for travelers.

Allegiant Airlines currently offers
nonstop service from Knoxville to Las Vegas. Southwest’s new direct offering will provide an alternative to Allegiant for this popular leisure route. McGhee Tyson Airport has seen expansion by multiple carriers including United Airlines, which announced a nonstop route from Knoxville to Newark, New Jersey, effective July 16, 2026. Additionally, Avelo Airlines plans seasonal flights linking Knoxville and New Haven, Connecticut in 2024.
