In June 2026, Seward, Alaska, welcomed the opening of its largest cruise terminal to date. Designed to accommodate the region’s increasing cruise traffic, this new facility represents a significant addition to Alaska’s cruise infrastructure.
Royal Caribbean played an active role in supporting the development and launch of the terminal. The facility incorporates innovative elements such as dedicated rail connections and shore power systems aimed at improving operational efficiency and environmental performance.
At its inauguration, the terminal was recognized with a Small Business Accelerator Award, highlighting its economic contribution and modern design. These features position the terminal as a key asset
for meeting the demands of growing cruise itineraries in the area.
