Minor Hotels has signed a hotel management contract with the Amal Group of Companies to develop Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket, the first property in Asia under the Minor Reserve Collection brand. The 310-key resort is planned to open in 2031 in Bang Tao, Phuket, just 250 metres from the island’s west coast shoreline.

Resort Features and Facilities

The Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket will include a 100-key hotel and 210 residences consisting of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units managed as part of the resort inventory. A wellness centre spanning over 5,000 square metres will be a major component. Dining options will incorporate an

all-day dining restaurant, two speciality restaurants, an organic café, and a lobby lounge.

Designed by Martin Palleros of Tierra Design, the property will reflect the natural environment of Bang Tao and is positioned adjacent to a protected national park. The location provides easy access to Laguna Phuket and Phuket International Airport.

Brand Philosophy and Development Context

The launch introduces Minor Reserve Collection, a luxury brand by Minor Hotels focused on offering hotels with distinctive elegance, individuality, and a strong sense of place. This marks a key expansion of Minor Hotels’ luxury segment into one of Asia’s most established resort markets.

Gardens of Eden is a

33-acre integrated development featuring luxury living, wellness, and nature elements, including Etro Residences and Gardens of Eden Residences, with the resort serving as its hospitality centrepiece.

Executive Statements on Partnership and Market

Omar Romero, Chief Development & Luxury Officer at Minor Hotels, said, “Thailand is home for Minor Hotels, so introducing the new Gardens of Eden Phuket, Minor Reserve Collection to the kingdom is a significant milestone for our company and our luxury brand strategy.” He added, “Phuket continues to evolve as one of the world’s most compelling resort and wellness destinations, and we are pleased to partner with Amal Group of Companies to bring this

exceptional project to life.”

Alexander Chuvalov, CEO of Gardens of Eden, stated the partnership leverages Minor Hotels’ expertise and the project’s vision to offer a unique experience for international guests and residents.

Position Within Minor Reserve Collection’s Global Portfolio

Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket will join Minor Hotels’ expanding Minor Reserve Collection portfolio, alongside planned reopenings such as Hotel Palace Portorož in Slovenia set for early 2027, Dukes London reopening in the second quarter of 2027, and Aventora Resort Baía Formosa in Brazil opening in 2028.
