Marjan Hospitality has initiated an extensive refurbishment program affecting more than 600 rooms across its two hotels in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE: Rixos Al Mairid and Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island. The company announced the project in early October 2026 as part of its strategy to elevate guest experiences and upgrade its property portfolio.
Rixos Al Mairid Undergoes Premium Redesign
Rixos Al Mairid is undertaking a complete renovation of the rooms in its main building. The refurbishment aims to reposition the hotel within the premium segment by introducing upgraded furnishings, advanced finishes, and revised layouts. The renovations are scheduled for completion with a reopening targeted for
December 2026. The hotel will retain its distinctive character while enhancing overall guest comfort and design.
Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island Transitions to Adults-Only
Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island is revamping all 300 guest rooms as part of a comprehensive upgrade, with plans to reopen in the second quarter of 2027. Upon reopening, the resort will operate exclusively as an adults-only property. The redesign embraces a new concept called Ocean Dusk & Dawn, which is inspired by the shifting colors and textures of the Arabian Sea and Al Marjan Island’s coastline. This concept aims to offer guests an immersive ambiance connected with the natural environment.
Marjan Hospitality’s Broader Investment in Ras Al Khaimah
The refurbishment initiatives
reflect Marjan Hospitality’s commitment to strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality sector. These investments coincide with other developments in the emirate, such as Wynn Al Marjan Island, which contribute to expanding premium and lifestyle hospitality options. Recent portfolio expansions include the addition of 35 private villas at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, located within a 1,235-acre protected nature reserve.
Company’s Vision for Clear Property Identities and Guest Expectations
According to Alison Grinnell, Group COO of Marjan and CEO of Marjan Hospitality, the company aims to ensure each property has a distinct identity aligned with modern guest expectations while enhancing Ras Al Khaimah’s overall destination quality. She
emphasized ongoing investment in existing hotels to complement new developments, fostering strong hospitality standards for future generations.
