Lemon Tree Hotels announced on September 24, 2026, a license agreement to develop a 90-room hotel in Patancheru, Telangana. The property will be managed by its subsidiary Carnation Hotels under an asset-light fee income model.
Its subsidiary Fleur Hotels Limited completed a ₹120 crore land acquisition in Bandra (East), Mumbai, intended for a 172-key Lemon Tree Premier hotel. This addition will raise Lemon Tree Hotels’ Mumbai portfolio to seven properties. The Bandra site is strategically located near the Western Express Highway and Bandra Kurla Complex.
Lemon Tree Hotels operates a dual ‘asset-right’ growth strategy combining asset-light managed properties and asset-heavy
owned assets. The Patancheru hotel contributes to fee-based income via Carnation Hotels’ management, while Fleur Hotels secures ownership stakes in high-value urban markets like Mumbai.
The company has obtained ‘no objection’ from the National Stock Exchange and ‘no adverse observations’ from the Bombay Stock Exchange for its Composite Scheme of Arrangement restructuring asset-light and ownership platforms. Company Secretary Pawan Kumar Kumawat resigned on September 24, 2026, effective November 23, 2026. Patanjali Govind Keswani was appointed Non-Executive Chairman effective April 1, 2027.
The expansions target two major economic corridors: Mumbai and Hyderabad/Telangana. These moves align with the Indian hospitality sector’s cyclical
upswing supported by strong business and MICE travel demand. The mid-market and upscale hotel segments experience demand outpacing supply, enabling Lemon Tree Hotels to raise average room rates and margins. The Patancheru hotel will offer additional lodging options to business and leisure travelers, while the Bandra Premier hotel will serve Mumbai’s corporate clientele.
