ITB India 2026 Opens in Mumbai with 3,000+ Industry Pros

ITB India 2026 Launches in Mumbai for Three-Day Event

ITB India 2026 commenced on September 1 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, running through September 3. This event marks the fourth in-person edition of the travel industry gathering in India.

More than 3,000 industry professionals are expected to participate, including over 400 qualified buyers. The event aims to facilitate business and networking across travel sectors.

Over 100 exhibiting brands are present, representing sectors such as Leisure, MICE, Corporate Travel, and Travel Technology. Exhibitors hail from regions including Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, Africa, Northeast Asia, and South America.

Represented brands include Columbia Pictures Aquaverse, DoubleTree by Hilton

Jakarta Kemayoran, Halong International Cruise, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, IHCL, MakeMyTrip, Northern Lights Villages, the oneworld alliance, Philippine Airlines, Sarawak Tourism Board, Seibu Prince Hotels & Resorts, Tokyu Hotels Japan, and Visit Maldives Corporation.

Darren Seah, Executive Director of Messe Berlin Asia Pacific, said the event connects global suppliers with qualified buyers, combining commercial exchange with industry insights, networking, and senior-level dialogue. He noted, “India and South Asia continue to offer significant opportunities for the global travel industry, and the international participation at ITB India this year reflects the strong interest we continue to see in these markets.”

India Conference 2026 takes place alongside the exhibition, featuring four thematic tracks: Knowledge, MICE & Corporate, Travel Technology, and Experiential Travel. Sessions include panels on MICE industry leadership, digital adoption in travel, balancing innovation and tradition in hospitality, and experiential travel influencing new traveler behavior.

A new invitation-only ITB India Leadership Roundtable, organized in partnership with Simon-Kucher, convenes senior leaders to discuss topics such as India’s outbound market, destination competitiveness, connectivity, investment, technology, and public-private collaboration.

Networking events during the three days include the ITB India Happy Hour on the opening day and the Cruise Capsule on the second day,

the latter focusing on opportunities within India’s expanding cruise market.
