Event Positioning and Industry Impact
ITB Americas fills a previously unmet demand for a Pan-American travel trade show, connecting North, Central, and South America along with the Caribbean in one platform. About 80% of participants are expected from the Americas, with 20% from international markets, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
With over 42 countries represented, the event offers destinations and travel businesses direct market access across three regions and beyond. Messe Berlin aims to emphasize quality business relationships, senior-level engagement, and measurable outcomes rather than traditional volume-driven attendance.
Official Statements and Founding Exhibitor Roles
Vicente Salas Hesselbach, VP and Managing Director Americas at Messe Berlin, said: “ITB
Americas was created to bring the Americas travel industry together in a way that has never existed before. The commitment we are seeing from destinations, brands and partners confirms that the industry is looking for a focused business platform built around quality connections, strategic partnerships and meaningful market access.” He highlighted that founding exhibitors are shaping the event’s direction from its inception.
Conference Sessions and Hosted Buyers Program
The ITB Americas Conference will feature more than 40 sessions that address artificial intelligence, digital distribution, sustainability, emerging technologies, and other topics influencing travel in the Americas. The Hosted Buyers Program facilitates connections between exhibitors and qualified international
travel buyers aligned with exhibitors’ commercial objectives.
The inaugural event combines trade exhibition, knowledge sharing, and business networking to establish infrastructure for future travel industry growth across the Americas.
