Strategic Purpose and Industry Statements
Vicente Salas Hesselbach, VP and Managing Director Americas at Messe Berlin, stated the event was created to bring the Americas travel industry together in an unprecedented way. He
said, “The commitment we are seeing from destinations, brands and partners confirms that the industry is looking for a focused business platform built around quality connections, strategic partnerships and meaningful market access.” The strong market sales, indicated by 70% of exhibition space sold, support the goal of providing a dedicated Pan-American platform that integrates North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.
Conference Program and Hosted Buyers
The ITB Americas Conference will consist of more than 40 sessions covering industry topics such as artificial intelligence, digital distribution, sustainability, and emerging technologies. The Hosted Buyers Program will connect exhibitors with pre-qualified international travel buyers aligned
with their commercial objectives. The inaugural edition expects an attendance of more than 5,000 industry professionals, combining commercial exchange, knowledge sharing, and industry leadership.
Market Gap and Platform Role
ITB Americas fills a long-standing gap in the global travel trade exhibition landscape by creating the first Pan-American platform connecting destinations and companies across the Americas with global partners. Participation is expected from over 42 countries, with approximately 80% of attendees from the Americas and 20% from international markets, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The event emphasizes quality over quantity, focusing on meaningful business relationships and senior-level engagement to shape the future travel
marketplace in the Americas.
