A proposal has recently been submitted to convert the lower floors of the John Hancock building, one of Chicago’s most recognizable landmarks, into hotel accommodations. This initiative would introduce a new lodging component within the building’s existing architecture.
The project focuses on repurposing the existing lower levels of the John Hancock building to develop hotel facilities. By doing so, it aims to add a hospitality function to the building’s mixed-use design without expanding its current footprint.
