Severe thunderstorms sweeping across London on June 30, 2026 have caused significant disruptions at both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The adverse weather conditions have forced the grounding of more than 900 flights at these major London airports.

As a result of the cancellations and subsequent delays, approximately 40,000 passengers have been left stranded, facing considerable interruptions to their travel plans. The current weather has created widespread operational challenges for airline services at both locations.
