Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) has expanded its footprint in Asia Pacific by integrating 26 hotels and serviced residences operated by Singapore-based Far East Hospitality (FEH), adding 6,212 rooms across Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan. This expansion enhances GHA’s presence in key Asian markets.

Far East Hospitality’s properties, grouped under five brands—Oasia, Quincy, Rendezvous, Village, and Far East Collection—are set to become part of GHA’s loyalty program, GHA DISCOVERY, in early 2027. GHA DISCOVERY has over 38 million members globally. Members will benefit from earning and redeeming Discovery Dollars (D$), accessing exclusive member rates, room upgrades, and local offers across all participating

properties.

FEH’s portfolio reflects a Singapore-inspired hospitality model emphasizing comfort, attentive service, aesthetics, and elegance. Its five brands cater to diverse traveler preferences including urban exploration, wellness, heritage, and social stays. Despite joining GHA, FEH retains the distinct identity of each brand within the alliance.

Partnership Strategic Fit and Regional Significance

Chris Hartley, CEO of Global Hotel Alliance, described Far East Hospitality as a strong regional partner whose diverse portfolio and Asian hospitality approach align well with GHA’s strategy. He highlighted Singapore’s role as a gateway to Asia and FEH’s presence in Malaysia and Japan as key to providing GHA DISCOVERY members with greater hotel options

in prominent destinations.

Hartley also pointed out the value of GHA’s model in enabling independent and regional hotel groups like FEH to maintain their brand individuality while leveraging the global scale and reach of the alliance.

Far East Hospitality’s Perspective on the Alliance

Mark Rohner, Managing Director of Far East Hospitality, termed the partnership an important milestone for the group’s Asia Pacific expansion. He emphasized that their brands, while rooted in Singapore-inspired hospitality, each possess a unique character and guest experience.

Rohner stated that joining GHA DISCOVERY provides an opportunity to maintain FEH’s brand distinctiveness while connecting with a worldwide audience. He anticipates introducing the portfolio to

more travelers and increasing guest engagement across the Asia Pacific region.

Global Hotel Alliance operates a business model that supports independent and regional hotel groups in preserving their individual identities while benefiting from a larger global network. This approach favors strategic expansion in significant travel markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan, where FEH maintains a strong regional footprint.
