Industry Context and Outlook
The Ghana Tourism Report 2025, produced by the Ghana Tourism Authority, centered on the theme “Resilience and Sustainable Growth.” It highlights the decline in average
international visitor expenditure and the need to attract higher-spending visitors and develop premium experiences. The report also promotes eco-tourism, community-based tourism, and heritage preservation to expand economic benefits beyond established centers.
Growing licensed enterprises and expanding domestic tourism support sector growth. Infrastructure investments and improved tourism products are crucial for sustainable development in Ghana’s tourism sector.
