Getaria Town Council approved the Fiscal Ordinance establishing a tourist stay tax on the Euskadi coast by a vote of 6 in favor from EH Bildu and 5 abstentions from EAJ.
The new tax will apply to visitors staying in Getaria starting January 1, 2027. Accommodation providers will be notified about the tax implementation ahead of that date.
