Getaria Town Council approved the Fiscal Ordinance for the Tourist Stay Tax with 6 votes from EH Bildu in favor and 5 abstentions from EAJ. The ordinance will take effect on January 1, 2027, establishing a new tax on visitors staying in Getaria on the Euskadi coast, Spain.
Visitors staying in accommodations within Getaria will be subject to this tourist tax starting in 2027. The Town Council has committed to informing all accommodation providers in the municipality about the implementation of the new tax.
