Geggs Getaways hosted its inaugural travel show on September 24, 2026, at Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club, attracting more than 200 customers. The event generated £11,000 in bookings on the night and led to an additional £50,000 in travel enquiries that the agency is actively pursuing.

Exhibitors and Popular Holiday Types

Thirteen travel suppliers exhibited at the event, including MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, P&O Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Newmarket Holidays, Africa & Beyond, First Class Holidays, Ocean Florida, Holiday Best, Gold Medal, Attraction World, Red Sea Holidays, and Domes Resorts. Holiday options focusing on cruises and Florida destinations proved especially popular among attendees. Partnerships with Transun,

Wendy Wu Tours, easyJet Holidays, and Railbookers were also highlighted during the show.

A raffle during the event raised £500 for Dementia UK. Prizes included a three-night stay at the Palazzo Versace Dubai, donated by Galaxi.

Support and Participation by Homeworking by Inspire

Homeworking by Inspire played a key role in the organisation of the event, helping to secure exhibitors and raffle prizes as well as providing marketing support. Three members of the group’s head office staff—Sam Fisher, head of business development and training; Stacey Wilson, onboarding and travel success manager; and Alice Victoria Whalley, travel success manager—attended the event in person.

Official Statements and Future Plans

Agency owner Ryan Anthoney said

the attendance and booking figures exceeded expectations. He highlighted the community demand for face-to-face travel advice and thanked suppliers for their extensive support. Anthoney noted that raising money for Dementia UK made the event more meaningful and confirmed that plans are already underway for a second travel show next year.

Lisa Henning, chief executive of the Inspire Group, emphasised the group’s commitment to supporting independent homeworking agents in hosting such events. She described the travel show as an example of how these agents can grow their business and increase their profile within local communities.
