Geggs Getaways hosted its inaugural travel show at Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club on September 24, 2026. The event drew more than 200 guests and secured £11,000 in bookings during the show. An additional £50,000 worth of enquiries are currently being followed up by the agency.
Supplier Participation and Travel Interests
The travel show featured 13 exhibiting suppliers, including MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, P&O Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Newmarket Holidays, Africa & Beyond, First Class Holidays, Ocean Florida, Holiday Best, Gold Medal, Attraction World, Red Sea Holidays, and Domes Resorts. Attendees showed particular interest in cruise options and holidays to Florida. Geggs Getaways also highlighted partnerships
with Transun, Wendy Wu Tours, easyJet Holidays, and Railbookers during the event.
Support from Homeworking by Inspire
Homeworking by Inspire played a key role in organizing the travel show by encouraging agency owner Ryan Anthoney to stage the event and assisting with securing exhibitors, raffle prizes, and marketing efforts. Members of the Inspire head office team in attendance included Sam Fisher, head of business development and training; Stacey Wilson, onboarding and travel success manager; and Alice Victoria Whalley, travel success manager.
Charity Fundraising
A raffle held during the event raised £500 for Dementia UK. One of the prizes offered was a three-night stay at Palazzo Versace Dubai,
donated by Galaxi.
Official Statements and Future Plans
Ryan Anthoney, owner of Geggs Getaways, said, “We were blown away by the response to our first Travel Show. Welcoming more than 200 people through the doors and taking bookings on the night showed just how much appetite there is for face-to-face travel advice in our community.” He thanked suppliers for their support and noted that raising money for Dementia UK added a special element to the evening. Anthoney also confirmed plans for a second show next year.
Lisa Henning, chief executive of the Inspire Group, said, “Supporting our agents to make events like this happen is
exactly what we’re here for. It’s a great example of how independent homeworking agents can drive business in their community and raise their local profile.” She added that the event helped Geggs Getaways expand its customer database.
