Geggs Getaways Hosts Inaugural Travel Show with 200+ Attendees and £11,000 Bookings

Geggs Getaways by Inspire held its first travel show at Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club on September 24, 2026, attracting more than 200 customers and generating £11,000 in bookings during the event.

The event featured thirteen exhibitors, including MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, P&O Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Newmarket Holidays, Africa & Beyond, First Class Holidays, Ocean Florida, Holiday Best, Gold Medal, Attraction World, Red Sea Holidays, and Domes Resorts. The agency also highlighted partnerships with Transun, Wendy Wu Tours, easyJet Holidays, and Railbookers. Cruise and Florida holidays were among the most sought-after by attendees.

A raffle during the travel show raised

£500 for Dementia UK. Prizes included a three-night stay at Palazzo Versace Dubai, donated by Galaxi.

Homeworking by Inspire encouraged agency owner Ryan Anthoney to host the event and supported it by securing exhibitors, raffle prizes, and marketing. Three Homeworking by Inspire head office staff attended: Sam Fisher, Head of Business Development and Training; Stacey Wilson, Onboarding and Travel Success Manager; and Alice Victoria Whalley, Travel Success Manager. The event generated an additional £50,000 in travel enquiries that Geggs Getaways is following up.

Statements from Event Organisers

Ryan Anthoney, owner of Geggs Getaways, said, “None of it would have been possible without the fantastic

support of our suppliers, who really got behind the event, and I’d like to thank every one of them. Raising money for Dementia UK at the same time made the evening even more special, and we’re already planning next year’s show.” He noted the strong community interest in face-to-face travel advice demonstrated by the bookings and attendance.

Lisa Henning, Chief Executive of Inspire Group, said, “Supporting our agents to make events like this happen is exactly what we’re here for. It’s a great example of how independent homeworking agents can drive business in their community and raise their local profile.”

She added that the event helped grow Geggs Getaways’ customer database.

Local Independent Travel Agents and Community Engagement

The Geggs Getaways travel show serves as a model for how independent homeworking travel agents can use local events to connect directly with customers and generate business. The combined approach of promotional activity and charitable fundraising, including support for Dementia UK, created added community impact. The £50,000 worth of enquiries generated indicates strong ongoing interest sparked by the event.
