Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts confirmed plans on October 12, 2026, to open a new luxury property in Tangier, Morocco. The Four Seasons Resort Tangier will be situated in the Cap Malabata district, offering views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean coastline. The project is a partnership with Royal Resort Cap Malabata, which is backed by Bahrain-based GFH Financial Group. This addition will be the fourth Four Seasons location in Morocco, joining existing properties in Casablanca, Marrakech, and Rabat.

Design and Accommodation Details

The resort’s design is led by the architectural firm Arjitec, while the interiors are created by British studio Goddard

Littlefair. Accommodations will include 99 guest rooms and suites, alongside 27 standalone villas. The property will boast over 260 meters of waterfront, providing panoramic views of both the sea and the Spanish coastline across the water.

Resort Facilities and Accessibility

Four Seasons Resort Tangier will feature four dining venues, a spa, a fitness center, and multiple swimming pools and waterfront leisure areas. The resort also plans to include event spaces suitable for meetings and celebrations. It is located approximately 15 minutes from Tangier’s high-speed train station, facilitating swift travel connections to other Moroccan cities, and about 45 minutes from Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport, the

region’s main air gateway.

Official Remarks and Regional Context

Ricardo Suarez, Four Seasons’ group head of development, said, “We look forward to bringing this exceptional project to life and creating a Resort that reflects the character of Tangier.” The city has attracted growing interest from investors due to its proximity to Europe, improved transport connections including high-speed rail, and rich cultural heritage. Tangier’s historic sites, traditional markets, and coastal appeal support its development as an international travel destination. The new resort aims to contribute to expanding luxury accommodation options in the city.

The announcement did not specify an opening date or disclose financial details related

to the project.
