The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) will begin deploying the V-Pass facial recognition system across domestic airports nationwide starting in July 2026. This rollout covers all Nigerian domestic airports managed by FAAN.

The V-Pass facial recognition system is intended to enhance airport security and speed up passenger processing nationwide. Passengers traveling domestically within Nigeria will experience faster and more secure processing via facial recognition at all FAAN airports once the system is operational.

This implementation reflects ongoing modernization efforts in Nigerian domestic airport security technology by FAAN.
