The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) commenced deployment of the V-Pass facial recognition biometric system at Nigerian domestic airports in July 2026. This rollout covers all domestic airports across Nigeria.
The system aims to improve passenger identification and streamline airport passenger flow using advanced biometric technology. Domestic travelers in Nigeria will experience faster and more secure processing through the facial recognition platform installed by FAAN.
