The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) started deploying the V-Pass facial recognition system at Nigerian domestic airports in July 2026.

Designed to enhance passenger identification and processing efficiency, the implementation of the biometric system aims to speed up check-in and boarding for travelers using domestic flights across Nigeria.
