These disruptions placed DCA at
the top among U.S. airports for cancellations both Sunday and Monday.

Passengers on American Airlines flights at DCA reported extensive delays and cancellations. Travis Chapman, traveling on American Airlines flight 5128 from Tulsa to Ronald Reagan Airport scheduled to depart at 4:17 p.m., experienced over six hours of delay at gate A5 before the flight was cancelled due to crew time limits. Another traveler, AJ, faced a flight from Westchester County Airport (HPN) to DCA delayed by more than three hours, followed by an additional 30-minute wait at DCA that caused missed connecting flights.

With better weather expected on Tuesday, disruptions at Ronald Reagan Airport are anticipated to lessen. Early Tuesday morning saw a significant reduction in cancellations and delays,
with American Airlines reporting only one cancelled flight and 19 delays at DCA. Despite this improvement, cancellations from PSA Airlines continued into Tuesday, with forecasts indicating ongoing busy travel conditions at the hub throughout the day.
