On June 24, 2026, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) enforced ground stops at various major airports across the United States and Canada. This measure disrupted flight operations at key hubs, including Atlanta, John F. Kennedy (JFK), Boston Logan, Newark, Orlando, and Toronto Pearson airports.
The FAA’s action resulted in numerous flight interruptions, with approximately 169 flights cancelled and around 680 experiencing delays. Several major airlines were affected, notably Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, JetBlue, Air Canada, and American Airlines. These disturbances impacted both departures and arrivals, creating significant disruptions for travelers at these airports.
