During the summer of 2026, major European airports have experienced considerable operational disruptions, resulting in the cancellation of approximately 40 flights and delays affecting over 800 others. These disruptions have led to substantial inconvenience for travelers attempting to fly within and across the continent.

Among the cities impacted are several major hubs including Stockholm, Madrid, Athens, Rome, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Additional affected locations include Barcelona, Zurich, Geneva, Brussels, Dublin, and Copenhagen.
