British low-cost airline EasyJet has unveiled new routes for its winter 2026 schedule, adding direct flights from London Luton Airport to Pristina, Kosovo, starting December 7. This route will operate three times weekly. Additionally, EasyJet will begin twice-weekly flights between Bristol and Strasbourg, France, starting November 20, and twice-weekly service between Belfast International Airport, Northern Ireland, and Aberdeen in northeast Scotland from January 4, 2027.
Route Strategy and Start Dates
The Pristina route marks EasyJet’s return to Kosovo from the UK after several years, targeting travelers visiting friends and relatives. The Bristol-Strasbourg service responds to seasonal demand for city tourism, while the Belfast International to
Aberdeen route aims to serve regional business and leisure travelers who lack direct rail or road links. The Bristol-Strasbourg flights commence on November 20, preceding the Pristina service which begins on December 7, with Belfast to Aberdeen flights launching after the new year, on January 4, 2027.
Competitive Landscape and Economic Considerations
EasyJet is the exclusive direct airline operating the Bristol-Strasbourg and Belfast International to Aberdeen routes. These routes fill specific market gaps in European point-to-point and ethnic travel segments. However, niche routes like these carry financial risk due to potential fluctuations in demand outside peak travel periods. The airline faces competition from other low-cost
carriers operating in Great Britain, which affects ticket pricing and profitability. Maintaining adequate aircraft load factors during lower-demand months after holidays will be critical to sustaining these services.
Traveler Benefits and Ticket Availability
Passengers can now book tickets on all three new routes. The introduction of these direct connections provides new options for travelers between the UK and Kosovo, France, and within the UK’s regional airports. EasyJet Holidays will offer package holiday deals linked to these flights, providing integrated travel options for consumers during the winter 2026 season.
