Disney Cruise Line has expanded the list of sailings eligible for its Onboard Offer Placeholder Reservation discounts through September 2027. Guests currently onboard Disney cruises can reserve future cruises departing within 24 months and save up to 25% on the voyage fare. Most voyages qualify for a 10% discount, while selected sailings receive discounts of 20% or 25%. A refundable deposit of $250 per stateroom, payable while onboard, is required to secure a Placeholder Reservation.
Expanded Itineraries and Discount Terms
The expanded discount list covers Bahamian, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Baja, Alaskan, and Singapore itineraries. Newly added sailings include themed Marvel Days at Sea and Pixar
Days at Sea cruises. Guests can also use Placeholder Reservations on select Concierge Stateroom categories 02B and lower to receive an additional 10% discount on the voyage fare, subject to blockout dates that vary by sailing and discount tier.
Existing Placeholder Reservations on newly discounted sailings automatically receive eligible price upgrades without the need to rebook or call. Guests who have already paid in full will receive a refund for the difference applied to their original payment method. Disney Cruise Line has begun notifying affected guests via SeaMail about these adjustments.
Sample Discounted Sailings and Booking Details
Examples of discounted voyages include a 4-night Western Caribbean
sailing aboard Disney Magic departing Galveston, Texas, on January 3, 2027, priced at $2,380 for two guests in an Oceanview Guarantee stateroom. Additionally, Disney Wish offers 4-night Very Merrytime Bahamian cruises departing on November 9, 2026, from Port Canaveral, Florida, at $2,960 (Verandah Guarantee) and on November 23, 2026, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at $3,984 (Inside Guarantee).
Travelers can convert Placeholder Reservations into confirmed bookings online, through the Disney Cruise Line Contact Center, or via travel advisors. Bookings involving two staterooms require calling the Contact Center. The offer is limited to one future booking per household, covering a maximum of
two staterooms, and requires that at least one member of the original sailing party participate in the new cruise. Once confirmed, cancellations follow standard fees with no option to revert to Placeholder status.
The discount applies solely to the voyage fare and excludes taxes, port fees, and other expenses. It cannot be combined with other promotions such as the Guaranteed Staterooms with Restrictions offer. Booking assistance through travel agencies like Dreams Unlimited Travel may include incentives such as up to $1,000 in shipboard credit and a pre-cruise gift basket at no additional cost.
