Disney Cruise Line has expanded its Onboard Offer Placeholder Reservation discount list to cover sailings through September 2027, allowing guests to save up to 25% on voyage fares. Eligible itineraries include Bahamian, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Baja, Alaskan, and Singapore routes, with several new sailings featuring Marvel Days at Sea or Pixar Days at Sea themes.
Placeholder Reservation Program Details
The Placeholder Reservation program requires a $250 refundable deposit per stateroom, payable onboard during a current Disney cruise. Guests can secure one future booking per household with a maximum of two staterooms under this program. To qualify, at least one member of the original sailing
party must be included in one of the staterooms for the new booking. Most sailings receive a 10% discount, while selected voyages offer 20% or 25% off the voyage fare. An additional 10% discount is available for Concierge Staterooms in categories 02B and lower when booked using a Placeholder Reservation.
Discounts apply exclusively to the voyage fare and exclude taxes, fees, and port expenses. They cannot be combined with other offers, such as the Guaranteed Staterooms with Restrictions discount. Guests can convert their Placeholder Reservations into confirmed bookings online through My Reservations, by calling Disney Cruise Line Contact Center, or
via travel advisors. For bookings involving two staterooms on the same sailing, conversions must be processed by contacting the Disney Cruise Line Contact Center directly.
Automatic Discount Adjustments and Refunds
Guests who have previously applied a Placeholder Reservation to a sailing that becomes eligible for a higher discount rate will have their savings automatically updated without needing to rebook. Refunds for increased discounts after full payment are issued to the original form of payment. Disney Cruise Line has already started notifying affected guests through SeaMail about these adjustments.
Examples of Current Discounted Sailings
Promotions available the week of September 28, 2026, include notable four-night itineraries aboard Disney ships. The Disney
Magic offers a 4-night Western Caribbean cruise departing Galveston on January 3, 2027, priced at $2,380 for two guests in an Oceanview Guarantee stateroom. The Disney Wish features two 4-night Very Merrytime Bahamian cruises: one departing Port Canaveral on November 9, 2026, at $2,960 for two guests in a Verandah Guarantee stateroom, and another departing Fort Lauderdale on November 23, 2026, at $3,984 for two guests in an Inside Guarantee stateroom. Guarantee fares enable guests to select a general stateroom category, with Disney assigning the exact cabin.
Booking Benefits and Limitations
Travelers booking through Dreams Unlimited Travel receive additional perks including shipboard credits of
up to $1,000 and pre-cruise gift baskets. The Placeholder Reservation program’s limits include one discounted future booking per household, capped at two staterooms. Blockout dates vary by sailing and discount tier but apply to most eligible cruises. Once a Placeholder Reservation is converted to a confirmed booking, changes are not permitted without incurring standard cancellation fees.
