The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop at Denver International Airport on Friday, starting at 3:25 p.m. and expected to last until 6:30 p.m. The ground stop temporarily halted outgoing flights due to thunderstorms impacting the area.
In addition to the ground stop, a ground delay began at 3 p.m. and will continue through midnight, with flights experiencing an average delay of 104 minutes. More than 100 flights at Denver International Airport were cancelled as a result of the weather conditions.
